The destructive cycle of addiction - how bad does it have to get?

Sometimes, like an abusive relationship, we go round and round on the hamster wheel with alcohol. ‘But this time it will be different!’, ‘I know how to handle it’, ‘it’s no worse than anyone else’s situation’, ‘they didn’t mean it, it’s me’.

This is the cycle of addiction. Hurting yourself over and over and being unable to stop.
